Davis Weather Wizard III & VWS
« on: September 08, 2009, 05:29:33 PM »
I just installed VWS to provide remote monitoring of my Davis Weather Station III. The VWS display defaults the barometer reading to 20.000 and the humidity to 100%. Since the Davis Waether Wizard III presumably does not measure either of these parameters, how might I get them deleted from the VWS window?

If by VWS window you mean the broadcast image, I don't think there is a way of doing it.  I believe that image is all hard coded internally in the software.

Ideally it would seem the information that the station cannot provide ought to be deleted depending on the weather station model chosen during the setup operation.

Might be something to run past Ed at Ambient to see if he has any comments.

Thanks for the response Mark. Yes, you are correct in assuming that I was speaking of the broadcast image. I would very much like to omit information which is not supported by my weather station, and defaults to something incorrect for local and via internet viewing. The best thing might be to update my hardware, but this is something I'd like to avoid.
Cheers
