AcuRite Iris communication with display
« on: October 17, 2024, 05:46:28 AM »
I've ordered a new AcuRite Iris HD to replace my 7 year old unit. I'm curious to know if the sensor package has any 2 way communication with it's display. Does it just send out a blind packet of data for all to hear, and that's that, or does the display talk back to the sensor package in any way ?

No communication between displays, only between outside sensor and each display that you have. You may need to move the ABC switch to a different setting on each display and the outside sensor to find the best signal. The ABC on the Iris is inside the battery chamber.

Just to clarify, I want to know if there is any communication FROM the display TO the sensor package, or is there just the signal FROM the sensor, TO the display.
