What happened to GRLevel3 Data Feed?
« on: June 25, 2024, 11:07:38 AM »
Looks like no data from NOAA to feed GRLevel3 for over 12 hours - did something change?

Major outage started 24-Jun-2024 for *.noaa.gov sites, including the radar status and NCO-OPS status site.
Continuing this morning as many sites back up but with stale data.

Thanks Ken - I thought that might be the case based on your other posts, but I wasn't sure radar was included.

It comes and goes here. Currently mine is current and working fine but probably by 8 am it'll likely be old data once again.

Not sure what is going on

I'm using the Allison House data and massaged NWS radar feeds, and they've managed to stay current even though the Status said they're stale. That's one of the reasons I display the current UTC date and time on my HAniS-based GRLevel3 local radar animation. It's easy to compare the date/time on the radar images with the UTC date/time.

I dropped my AH feeds after the major rebuild a few years ago since their reliability was good. I'm heading back first of the month.
Mine has been up and down all day. The chart showing all green and within a few hours it's all read and quite a bit behind. Kinda like  water valve they open it wide for a bit then they close it tight.. Don't know what for sure is the problem but apparently it's a dandy!

Thanks!
