« on: January 15, 2007, 06:01:32 PM »

If you're using Virtual Weather Station then all you need to upload is broadcast.jpg

Yes I'm using vws and I did upload to my broadcast jpg. to the site and it does not look like the one that I'm seeing in the program. The one I'm uploading to the server looks generic. Any thoughts to what I might be doing wrong. I do not see any thing; only the one I put in my index.htm page so the image knows where to display on the web page.

Thanks,
Tim

I don't see anything on your page that looks like broadcast.jpg. Can you put up a link to what you're talking about?

Are you having your jpegs created in a location other than the default in VWS?  If so, you may be uploading the generic out of the box broadcast.jpg if you also have your ftp uploads set to the default directory.

I haven't seen your site, but I'm with Chris (SLOweather) above let's see what the broadcast image that you're talking about.

I'm saying that I do see a broadcast.jpg on the site. I did have to resize the image on the webpage so that maybe way it's not updating like it should be. I've got the directory set for /web for the ftp upload from the vws program.

Yep,
That is what the issue was trying to resize the broadcast .jpg image. Now I'm trying to get my other station to update also.  I had to rename them to broadcast.jpg and broadcast1.jpg respectively.  My other station for some reason still wants to make the same broadcast display image even after I renamed it. Any thoughts here as to what might be going on with this.

Thanks,
Tim

If you had the image updated then do you not have a URL to provide for us to look at? Please give us a link to image so we can take a look at it. It's kind of hard to troubleshooot.  :?
