Topic: How Long for New PWS to Show Up

I had to delete my previous PWS and create a new one on WU (long story). Everything seems to be working fine, my weather data is being recorded, my new PWS shows up in my devices, and the dashboard for my new PWS is correct. However, when I search for my new PWS on either the website or using the WU app on iOS it does not find it. It still sees the old PWS that I deleted. How long does it take for that to get updated on both the website and on the WU app?

If I login to WU and go to my devices it is there and I see the data. Also, if I type "https://www.wunderground.com/weather/us/pa/kutztown/KPAKUTZT35" into the address field of my browser it pulls up the correct PWS. But if I click on the search locations box in the upper right of the screen and type in KPAKUTZT35 it does not find it but instead brings up KPAKUTZT32...? I have tried both Chrome and FireFox and completely cleared all data from both browsers and still get the same thing. Maybe it's a regional thing IDK but it's very strange. Same thing with the WU app on my phone. I completely deleted the app and re-added it but when I search for KPAKUTZT35 it only finds KPAKUTZT32...? At this point it makes the phone app unusable until the search result gets corrected. Very strange.

Yeah, unfortunately it is what it is…I’ll just have to wait a few weeks till the updates propagate is my guess.

Some progress. As of yesterday my new PWS does show on the WU map and it is selectable from there. It still does not show up if you type the PWS ID in the search field on either the WU website or the WU app. Must be some database update that needs to occur that takes a LONG time…

Still waiting for this to get fixed. Submitted the issue a couple of times now to WU support but no help. Thankfully everything works fine except for trying to find my PWS using the search field (still only comes up with the old deleted PWS).
