Hi

I wanted to look at historical weather data for the past 4 years from weatherunderground stations in different areas of the country. However, one thing that I have had difficulty in achieving is finding stations that have been active for the given time (since 2018, 2019). Is there a way one can filter out the weather stations which have not been active during this time (like put in to place in 2021 etc).

Currently, I just doing blind hit and trial.

Thanks!

If you pick a larger city, you'll notice the higher the user's number is, the more recent their account was made.

KNDBISMA26 is my station for Bismarck, ND.  I used to be KNDBISMA2 until issues on their side killed my original login.  Through guessing, I see Bismarck is up to 51 stations.  Not all active.  I just guessed at the my link below until I got to 52 being an error.

About the best way to see what's active, is looking at the Wundermap in an area.

I'm sure if there is a way, WUnderground isn't going to exactly advertise it.  They don't want the regular public to know how much they rely in volunteer submissions of data.

Hi 92merc

Thanks so much! This will help a lot! I was going through stations manually and checking for years to establish a baseline duration for the earliest recording.

I really appreciate it :)
