John, have you heard what the problem was and why only certain stations were affected?

No, afraid not - no news at all, at least as yet.

Why only certain stations? That's not surprising in general. Weatherlink.com is a pretty complex operation now with (IIRC) at least 7 different upload device types and multiple geographical locations for the data gateways to cope with something between 50K and 100K uploading stations. Each device type does I suspect have a different data ingestion module and so it's entirely plausible for only one or two types of  upload devices to be affected and maybe only in certain geographies or on certain servers. But beyond that I don't have any detail.

Sorry, but I don't usually have time to help with individual issues by email unless you are a Prodata customer. Please post your issue in the relevant forum section here & I will comment there if I have anything useful to add.

Hello,

We have had several people report this. We have not made any changes on your system. It seems that last week, Microsoft pushed out a bad USB driver.
Most people are reporting that this has been resolved now."

I've had no further problems since it was fixed.

Interesting, considering that I have disabled auto-updates on my Win 7 PC. Maybe it affected things on the server level instead of individual computers.
