good morning how are you ? long time no hear..

for the time which type of server are you using ?  filemtime is all it is reading basically the time the file was last updated.

basically it is just this

Code: [Select]
$dayfile=date('Y');$forecastime=filemtime('../weather34charts/'.$dayfile.'.csv');echo strftime("%A %d %B %Y %l:%M %p",$forecastime);?>
however it may be the strftime giving you the anomaly so I could simplify it to just a numbered date and not use a worded translation

if you would like be setup for auto update just send me a pm its a painless hassle free way of staying upto date

for example
these UK users get auto updates

good morning you have a new PM .. should be fine now.. and I adjusted the update time to use standard php date() to see if that helps as it may be strftime causing you an issue but I am not 100% sure as I can't reproduce the same output using strftime..

Re: Weather34 MB-SMART now SMART TV
« Reply #14 on: February 21, 2020, 02:10:21 AM »
a recent purchase of a low cost ANDROID TV OS smart tv for a guest bedroom drew my curiosity so happy to say this standalone console version now has compatibility with SMART TV's that are based on ANDROID TV . the file weather34-tv.php simply has dedicated css files specifically for SMART TV . the one in the screenshot is low cost SMART TV 32" cost around $100 when converting local currency.

*Note the SMART TV option currently only designed for ANDROID TV OS based tv's..(smart tv must be using android tv os).
*pop up screen only appears when first accessing and disappears automatically after 5 seconds
*notifications disappear automatically after 10 seconds and only re appear if notification is valid i.e weather data not updated within last 15 minutes .
*it is optional in the setup screen to display small TV icon if you want to use or not.
* this console standalone version compatible with all meteobridge based software i.e NANOSD,Meteobridge Pro,TP-link type hubs .
*this version has no mysql or wunderground dependancies for displaying charts it is all automated once set up in the meteobridge software. step by step simple guide https://weather34.com/homeweatherstation/weather34-standalone.html

Hello Brian. For the Android TV option, I'm wondering how interaction works without a touch screen?

Thanks,
Dave

good question but for the android based tv's you can plug any common cheap cable mouse see photo mine is just an old 10 year old or more !! Microsoft cable mouse right of image or you can use the tv remote can you see the two mouse pointers which I learnt later you can turn of the remote control cursor.
if you have a touch screen version then it gets real smart :-)

its worth noting if your using android tv then use the puffin browser from the App Store it basically goes full screen without any tabs or url bars etc..there is also  firefox tv version im working on now which renders css a bit different from the standard or common firefox download but ill nail it within a few days .
chrome for android tv just has a whacking great big toolbar thats permanent  ..

samsung tv's only success I had was on a 2019 model we have two others based on I think 2014-16 circa and a 2017 circa both have no browser updates available through the Samsung App Store so a bit of inconsistency between brands and models .

best so far has been android tv seems to conform reasonably well for the purpose. its definitely an eye opener if you can justify a 32" size for the purpose . I quite like it shame I bought it for our guest room definitely toying on getting another if I see one at a reasonable price ..Brian

Thanks Brian.  I have a nVidia Shield that runs Android TV.  I'm thinking of using that with Puffin browser.  That way, I can use any TV.  Also, looking at adding after market IR Touch sensor connected to Shield USB.  It's a lot less expensive than touch screen TV.   I'll let you know how it goes...

Today my meteobridge arrived, and I wanted to install weather34 standalone template, can I also install the MB-SMART version? Or do they conflict with each other?

I use both and point both versions to the same MBrealtimeupload.txt file that is populated by meteobridge Weather34 Network tab.   This file contains the weather station raw data ever X minutes...
Enjoy!

Hi

I am also having an issue with the charts on the Console version

If you look at the attached Chart image there appears to be a funny icon and the Chart symbol doesnt seem to work

Also there is a problem with the Barometer chart - I want to show Mb but whatever setting you choose in the Settings ie Barometermod.php or Barometermod-mmHG.php it always shows mmHG even though the label shows MB again see attached

Kind Regards

Graham
