Thank you for your explanation of 915mhz and the no compatibility of sensor and weather station.
Very useful for me to buy my weather monitor.
Many thanks again.
Regards.

Been running this firmware for 24 hours and no issues.
Cannot spot what the difference is and I cannot find any release notes!
Must be minor tweeks.

The sensor types have changed in "Setup / More / Sensors ID / Setup"
Instead of WH25 is T&HP, and instead of WH26 is T&H.
I didn't notice any other changes.

Well spotted krojan - more observant than I!
I confirmed with Lucy that this release was minor enhancements and bug fixes - nothing major.

Hello everyone, there is a new wifi firmware out for the HP2550/1/2/3 console which is updated via the WS-View app
Its V1.4.6

Its possible not everyone will see it as I am running beta main firmware at V1.5.9 currently.
This will be released shortly and is to accommodate the lightning sensor onto the display.
I'll post when its released publicly

Any updates on public release of V1.5.9? The lightning sensor is out and I wonder when this will be ready for HP255X.

Hello, we are currently testing V1.6.0 so I am unsure when the next public release might be.
I have asked the question though.
Given that they have started selling the new lightning detector I would guess that this or a higher version would be released in the next few weeks to cater for it.

The firmware 1.6.0 is available (manual & software):

http://www.ecowitt.com/weather_station/70.html

Direct download: http://www.ecowitt.com/upfile/202003/HP2551_V1.6.0_user.bin

Mainly Updates for V1.6.0:

1. Supports to accept WH57 Lighting sensor & WH55 Water leak sensor(no display on the main interface) and upload to ecowitt.net

2. WH55 and WH57 parameters support uploading ecowitt.net;

3. Modify the optional sensors data interface display to support sensor name editing;

4. Soil moisture calibration for the 0% AD range changed to be : 0 ~ 200;

5. The main interface soil moisture switches channel data display every 5 seconds;

6. The T&H sensor(optional sensor) is disabled by default.

Dear all,

I don't know if it's related with most recent firmware (i trust not) or because firmware was done before powering up the sensor array (I also trust not).

I recently bought a misol weather station. After upgrading the firmware to most recent available version, i was not able to have sensor array communicating with the console.
After powering up the sensor array a led should indicate proper functioning (flashing every 16s) but instead it stays on. I reset, changed bateries several times but nothing - led stays on and console does not shows sensor array measurements.
According to instructions/google search it might be a sensor array problem.

Have you ever experienced such behaviour, do you have any clue on why sensor array functioning properly or should be something to trigger warranty service?

If the red led is staying on then this does sound like a sensor array issue.
If the array was working previously then I can only suggest removing the batteries and letting the super capacitor discharge (also cover the solar cell). Then try putting the batteries back in.
If this is brand new and has never worked then I would definitely return for warranty replacement.

Correct answer: Answer No. 3
Indded it's brand new. I initially updated console firmware, and then - after powering the sensor array, the red led is allways on. Already reset, changed batteries, etc and red led is staying on

I'm also in contact with seller service to solve the issue.
Thanks for the confirmation, I hope to succeed resolving this issue nice and easy 8-)

Hello everyone, just to confirm that the Wifi firmware has now been released for the HP2550/1 consoles
This will take the console to Easyweather 1.4.8

This must be undertaken using the WS-View smartphone app which will update the console.
The update has been confirmed for 433 and 866Mhz consoles.

The update is known to allow the console to feed the additional new sensor data (such as Lightning) to the Ecowitt.net service

Im trying to get my 2551 updated without any success.  The WS view app does not mention anything about updating the firmware at all.  I downloaded the latest version to an SD card and placed it in the console and get nothing there either.  I tried powering off and back on, still nothing.  Current versions are 1.4.6 and 1.4.0.2.  How in the heck do I update this thing?  The instructions make it sound like a simple affair, but that just isnt doing it for me.  I assume it has something to do with my older versions??

You have to use a microSDHC card. If you use a microSDXC card then the update will not initiate. Also format to FAT32 and try again.

Both actually.  I just hadnt gotten to the wifi side yet.  How do i I go about that?  Ive got the console updated and running fine, But I do not see a way to update easyweather.  I can see the current version in WS View, but no way to update it.  Currently on 1.4.0.2

You will need to do this on a smartphone/tablet running wsView.
In Devices you will see a device highlighted as EasyweatherXXX ….this will be your HP2550/1
Select that and providing that your smartphone has internet access it should immediately offer a Firmware update of the wifi firmware if the console needs it.
The image you will see is as I posted in the screen grab a few posts earlier for the latest revision

However its worth pointing out that your Internet feed must not be filtered as it has been found by some folk that restricting internet access can also block firmware updates
