Rain Rate when VP Reorts its "Raining Cats and Dogs"

Hey can someone tell what the rain rate in/min or in/hr when the VP2 Reports its raining Cats and Dogs.

Mine read this the other night in heavy rain and it was  0.30 inches per hour 7.62mm per hour.

I believe the threshold rate is 0.2 in./h. I also think that is a ridiculously low rate to trigger so enthusiastic a description.

It’s at 0.3 in/hr, which is the NWS’ definition of “heavy rain”
