Installing Wind Extension
« on: August 14, 2020, 09:01:46 AM »
I've got a wind extension kit here I am planning to install later today... If it doesn't rain me out this afternoon. This will also involve moving the Atlas from it's current location, so I hope I don't run into any signal problems as a result. This siting may be temporary as well until I can get on the roof once cooler weather arrives in the next couple of months. I  will see how well this location works in the meantime.

From what I have seen, this kit should be simple to attach. I am planning to put the wind sensors up on a flag pole with my 5n1.

Wind extension is on, and it's way up there. 25 ft. The Atlas is working nicely where I located it. Signal is strong. The kit went up very well, and was easy enough. KNCJACKS12 - There is no wind to speak of today though. 1 or 2 MPH right now.

Are your displays rock solid with 4 bars?  Did you move the Atlas closer?

EDIT:  I see in your other post, you are still getting signal dropouts.

I moved it further away, and lower down. I am still getting dropouts. I'm not sure where to go next with it.
