As you use altervista.org read this on https://saratoga-weather.org/wxtemplates/WXwebsite.php

Quote
I have tried altervista.org free hosting and the scripts/template work there IF you change the PHP settings to allow fconnect()/cURL to any external destination -- if you don't do this step then the forecast (weather and UV) and alerts will not work. Depending on your number of site visitors, you may need to pay to extend your traffic alottment of 10Gb/month.

Maybe you have this issue?

couldnt get tables inserted into database from running /createdb.php

Access Denied

Using chartswu

Got tired of trying diff database names, etc. Upsetting it is  ](*,)

Ordered Soil Temp probes and moisture sensors for my Davis, any way to show those sensors within template?

mchd17

as mentioned above about the mysql .. as for soil etc just let me know when you have it installed and which sensor you assign it as in meteobridge i will create a new top module , ive done a few over the last few months but i need to know which sensor output from meteobridge it gets assigned .

have a nice day...brian

Hi,

Are you still willing to develop a Vantage Pro2 soil moisture/temperature module? I would be happy to provide you with as much information as you need, for those of us involved in agriculture this is key information.

Thank you very much,

good afternoon

if you are running meteobridge no problem only versions i work on these days .if you are you using weather display i would contact wim as he has taken over that version and it is hoped he will have something ready in the near future..

 all other versions pretty much finished only cumulus gets minor updates where css ideas for meteobridge work without any additional adjustments as cumulus version data file realtime.txt never changes.

sorry i dont do one offs anymore,all or any additions has to be available in the meteobridge api source which i would need to liase with boris of meteobridge beforehand to have the extra data added to the api .

ps from post above earlier erik hope you are well sorry to hear of ilnness hope you are recovering well and this season is liverpools for the taking but christmas period is the make or break period most teams top of the league after this period have gone on to,win the league in recent times however ....take care brian

no problem erik glad your on your feet again
 2018 is a year i want to forget quickly lots of personal disruption mostly around our property , started after a fire at our neighbours property which spread to our roof top and pretty much burnt 75% of our roof and right at the start of the flash flood and storm season spent pretty much the most of june,july emptying buckets every other night and no fun watching sparks/water come out the electric sockets and light sockets and not to mention the loss of furniture etc due to water ..eventually was repaired/replaced after the insurance bureaucracy got sorted.

my weather station and other home white goods were destroyed after a direct hit in a storm in September and we wanted to move in late October early November but the rhetoric of trade wars affected our local currency and weakened the lira quite badly and made it unviable to go ahead so now thankfully its recovering and looking to purchase early spring and move on to a calmer life .

on the weather station front i bought a new Davis VP2 (outrageous import duty as you can guess trade war rhetoric based on US imports tit for tat but consumer suffers ultimately) and then found a solar radiation sensor for $95 which was brought back for me so no import tax etc.. Really don't know why i didn't keep one of these Davis VP2 a couple years ago i went with a WMR300 which was cheaper but ultimately in the long run cost more .. Davis hardware may be looking dated on the console front but quality and reliability there is nothing in comparison anyone who says to me ambient,fine offset etc needs to look a bit closer on why they cost more..

as for football Besiktas who i follow with a passion sold most of there top players end of last season(knock on effect of trade war rhetoric) and this year has been awful in fact so bad i have seen only one game this season .

so there you go my viking friend :-)

so onto 2019 and take the opportunity to wish you and your family a prosperous new year ...brian

here is the list of current versions non supported by weather34

the list is growing for alternative versions for various hardware and software

maintained or download made available by individual enthusiasts.

* Alternative versions listed below are not maintained by weather34 in anyway only Cumulus version receives css updates

*Weewx Version available via  download and more info supported by Ian Milward ( https://www.claydonsweather.org.uk/ )
https://github.com/steepleian/weather34-Home-Weatherstation-Template-WeeWX-adapted

*Weatherflow API Version *Discontinued Please use meteobridge version if you have a meteobridge product, it offers more versatile options over the API and faster updates and better history/chart outputs or alternatively try the version for Weather Display below by Wim van der Kuil

*Cumulus Version download via Mediafire http://www.mediafire.com/file/u46g42nwt1sigjr/CU.zip/file

*Raspberry Pi Python Weatherflow console version available via here supported download via by Peter Davis ( Weatherflow Forum ) https://github.com/peted-davis/WeatherFlow_PiConsole

*Davis WeatherLink version by Mats Ahlklo supports WL 2.0 details  here
http://pysselilivet.blogspot.com/2017/01/install-weather34-with-weatherlink.html

*ATMOCOM Version for Ambient WS-2902 Osprey,Ventus W830, MiSol, ChiliTec, PanTech, Froggit WH3000, Ambient WS-8478 Falcon, Bresser,FOSHK HP-3500 series  info here
https://atmocom.com/Demo-weather-data

*Weather Display version by Wim van der Kuil  Now Available via wd34.weather-template.com
http://wd34.weather-template.com/index2.html

features and appearance may vary across these versions and requests for additions should go to the individual maintaining these..there are two other versions
not quite ready for release but are based on using the Rasperry Pi .

the only supported versions are meteobridge and the current running beta for NANOSD. these versions are rich in features and additional features are added when time permits( a lot was added to the beta version in December 2018 it now supports 150 types of data variables , whole array of chart data for those with lots historical data with more to come).the current NANOSD beta version has lots of historical options and almanac pop ups for various data .You will also find a version maintained by meteobridge developer built into the NANOSD product  which you don't require any web server it merely runs inside the NANOSD control panel .

Happy New Year! I hope the joys of 2019 will make you forget 2018.

Regarding the soil module, I'm using meteobridge, and at least, in the live data appears the extra sensors, as you can see in the attachments
xml
 [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
plaintext
 [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
as described in https://www.meteobridge.com/wiki/index.php/Add-On_Services
but I don't know how to check if it's in the api or not.

good afternoon

some recent changes,developments .

Cumulus version is now hosted via the cumulus wiki page and maintained by Ken True of Saratoga template fame and a few others https://cumuluswiki.wxforum.net/a/HomeWeatherStationTemplate they collaborated and setup a
github page to exchange fixes,improvements,ideas to keep that version alive you can follow the github page setup by Ken (Saratoga) here https://github.com/ktrue/CU-HWS

Weather Display version is maintained and supported by Wim of Leuven template fame and he has done a great job and basically had to revamp an old 2017 version and get it all working and  I am sure it will get better , this can be followed at http://wd34.weather-template.com/index2.html and at the weather-watch forum https://www.weather-watch.com/smf/index.php/topic,67468

i openly say thanks two both individuals and I couldn't have found any better trusted sources ,combine their knowledge together it means basically both versions are in trusted knowledgeable safe hands .

meteobridge versions went through some changes many new visual layouts and lots of new data ,the beta version has feature rich ability to display an array of historical charts based on how much historical data you have .
lots of almanac data and meteobridge versions now support over 150 different values based on your weather station data .

*tip when setting up your databases make sure the database username has been granted all permissions to
get it up and running once running you can reduce the permissions where needed but without write/insert permissions you will get no data written to the database .

example
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON weatherstation.* TO 'weather';

$sqlgrant = mysql_query("GRANT ALL ON" .$dbname. "* TO ".$username);

there are various methods and ways of doing this either via phpmyadmin or a simple php script file doing a simple
google search "php grant privileges mysql" should return something you can use and adapt to your specific requirements and host configuration.

as of 05-Jan-2019 via https://weather34.com/homeweatherstation/

Hi

Is it correctly understood that I must have version 3.9 of Meteobridge to run the latest version of HWS. I'm on version 3.2 and have been running this version for several years without any problems.

hello good morning

no set to just stick to version 3.2 and reboot to pick up new API structure however some addtional improvements to support the template have been made in the firmware over the last few versions so just try it if it dont work wont affect any other part of meteobridge itself just perhaps have missing values when using this template as it today..

Hi

Thanks for the prompt answer.

I have rebooted an upgraded to MB-07012019 and everything seems fine with firmware version 3.2 of Meteobridge.

One question about a new feature, it would me very nice to have All Times Records from the Meteobridge, maybe in the Almanac or a separate page.

Thanks for the template and keep up the good work.

ok good stuff

Alltime records is there in the latest API, currently limited values are viewable under almanac pop ups more will come in the future just adding one thing at a time release it then sit back and see if any issues arise then if ok or issues get fixed move on to the next idea..slow process but only way as its impossible to monitor all possible scenarios so I find users are of great benefit for feedback ..brian

Hi

If you look at the Almanac Barometric Pressure page, it looks like the same day, January 3, has 2 different values for the maximum. January shows 1031.8 (which is correct), 2019 shows 1026.3. Minimum is correct.

good morning

ok nothing major my oversight so i apologise sincerely updated download or just simply edit the barometeralmanac.php

near the bottom of barometeralmanac.php find

              <?php
   // year

   if ($tempunit=='C' &&  $weather["thb0seapressymax"]>=-999)  {
   echo "<red>",$weather["thb0seapressydmax"] . "</value>";}
   if ($tempunit=='F' && $weather["thb0seapressymax"]>-999)  {
   echo "<red>",$weather["thb0seapressydmax"] . "</value>";}

?>

simply remove the d $weather["thb0seapressydmax"] to read $weather["thb0seapressymax"]

so it reads
 <?php
   // year

   if ($tempunit=='C' &&  $weather["thb0seapressymax"]>=-999)  {
   echo "<red>",$weather["thb0seapressymax"] . "</value>";}
   if ($tempunit=='F' && $weather["thb0seapressymax"]>-999)  {
   echo "<red>",$weather["thb0seapressymax"] . "</value>";}

?>

if your curious of the -999 this stops displaying/recording erroneous data for pressure and other values sometimes ambient or fine offset clones types send -999 when the sensors start failing or loss of contact..

Good evening,
I'm using the 'Cumulus' version of this template that is online on this page: lastazionedelporto.altervista.org
The data is regularly updated every 60 seconds, I would like to know if it is possible to set a lower update time (for example 8 seconds) at least for the wind data. Thank you.

The data displayed comes from the Cumulus realtime.txt file -- the wind data (and all conditions data) is updated whenever you update realtime.txt on your website.  The wind speed/direction refresh is every 10 seconds by default, so if you update realtime.txt every 10 seconds, it would show on the site.

Thanks for the reply.
How can I set Cumulus to update the realtime.txt file every 10 seconds?
Can i set the template to have a refresh of less than 10 seconds?

Is it possible to import all history from WU into the HWS MySQL database?  :?:

I don't want my 8 years weather data flushed out, when WU decide to do so.

If anyone is interested in the weeWX adapted version of the weather34 template, you can find it at the link below courtesy of Ian Steeple. All support questions on this adapted version should be directed to Ian and not to Brian.

https://github.com/steepleian/weather34-Home-Weatherstation-Template-WeeWX-adapted

Here is my web site (https://weather.sathy.us) using this template. The additional benefit of this adapted template is the capability to display CanvasJS charts generated from native weeWX historical reports rather than a feed from the free Weather Underground API , which as many of you know is going away shortly.

How do I see the charts here?
