No it doesn´t, it looks "better" :D But it still does not stretch to the bottom as it should, though I guess it is better than it was... btw. just yesterday I was working over night on one new plugin, everything was working, only until I tested it in IE... I had to change half of the CSS again... and it was not because the CSS would be incorrect, but simply because IE does not support lot of functions, for example there is a command for inverting image colors, which is quite useful if for example you have a dark and light theme and you want to use the same icon - you create either black or white one and then simply invert it based on the user settings, but IE does not support that, so you have to create 2 icons -white and black, upload both to the server and then choose the right one.

I've tried to import Cumulus data before 2011 it seems there was a change in august 2010 so data before augustus  23th 2010 will not import for the template (with the cumulusimportfunction) I've used wu-import , data are now imported from the beginning but I think it's not ideal maybe this give some clues ? http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Monthly_log_files

I wonder how Paul did it  :-)

Yeps I've attached jul 2010 august 2010 round the 28th and sep 2010 there are more data I think it has to do with 'Write UV and Solar Rad to monthly log files' http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Version_1.9.0 I'll try to import without solar radiation (have to clean up the database somewhat so takes some time..)

Jachym,
I will look at the update version this evening.

Ron,
Once I overcame the historical upload/update problem which was with IE and then used FF which was fine, I had no problem that I can recall on importing any of the monthly log files - i.e. 2010 vs 2011.

I hadn't seen these errors before and will need to investigate tonight.

Well I'dont even know what the issue is  :-( I never use IE , I always use chrome by the way. I attach jan 2010 and jan 2011 note 2011 has a decimal comma for the upload I used a decimal point (throw that file away..) As you can see januari 2011 is much bigger..

New plugin - Frequency Distribution
« Reply #239 on: September 16, 2015, 01:25:54 PM »
A new plugin for analyzing data from your station is now available.

This plugin shows you the frequency distribution of various parameters using dynamic graphs and tables.

You have many options for choosing

- the parameter
- graph type (line, area, bar, column)
- resolution (bin size)
- value returned (either percentage or total count)
- data transformation (none, log)
- interval (all, particular season, particular month)

Install instructions:

This time it is again very difficult :-) You have to unzip the file, upload it to your plugin directory and then add a link in the menu.

Things to note:

- log transformation only works for total counts, if percentage is selected, no transformation will be applied (as it would be nonsense to apply log to percentage values)
- log transformation is useful if there is a large difference between the max and min, so it is hard to see differences between similar values
- seasons are based on your station coordinates specified in config (i.e. latitude is used to determine which hemisphere you are at and what months correspond to which season)
- unfortunately, due to the complexity of the calculations, this plugin does not adjust to the user specified units and will always show values in the units in which data is in the database
- percentages are useful when comparing for example the overall average with individual years, where total count does not tell you much because it is probably much larger value than the year value. Percentages simply show you the proportion of total.

Note: the plugin should still be fully compatible with versions 1.x though I do recommend upgrading to v2.0 Watermelon

Jachym, I felt bad because I tested this well in IE, etc. when we were testing and I didn't see that problem so I wanted you to know about it ASAP.

Yes, I don't like IE either...but here's the thing, it really doesn't matter what You, Me, or any of us here like or don't like we have to cater to what our site users have and for me at least a large % are still IE. Well, we don't HAVE to cater to users browsers but if you want your site used by people who choose to use it...

I need to get going here. I have customizations I need to make to 2.0 so I can get it installed and running because I want to get these cool new plugins installed

Hi David,
but I agree with you! Which is why I posted a fix, which works in IE as well :-)

With regards to plugins, you dont even need to upgrade to 2.0, you can install the plugins right away, it is compatible with 1.x and can be done in a second.

OK, maybe you could try writing in your language and I will see if I can understand that, because if you just use a translator, then it makes no sense and I dont know what you originally wanted to say.
I understand German and French as well if that would help, or you can even try in Spanish and Im sure we will manage to understand each other eventually.

Hi Jachym,
I got the distribution plugin installed and looks really neat.  However, I expect the count of data such as my lowest of -29.8C or highest of 35.6C is somewhat distorted by the frequency of updates, especially in the historical upload/update.
My lowest temp is 29.8C of February 20, 2015.  Looking at my Cumulus monthly log file this occurred in 5 consecutive logged times: 07:00, 07:10, 07:20, 07:30 and 07:40 as I am now using 10 minute logging interval in Cumulus.  The distributions.php shows this as 5 times.

Then for my highest temp 35.8C of July 21, 2011, this is in my Cumulus dayfile.txt, but the monthly log file only shows a high of 35.6C at 17:30 and only once as I was logging at 30 minutes at that time.  The 35.6C only shows once in that 30 minute period but likely would have shown more often if I was logging at 10 minute interval at the time, or possibly the 35.8C would have been logged in the monthly and therefore in the template's DB.

Just mentioning, and the distribution is still very interesting.

Well done =D>
Paul
