The NWS servers were the problem, guys. Had a long list of failure to connect showing in my error log.

Thanks for the clarification Rick. For some reason and I don't know what it is but when something is not working on my site I think it's just me. But a lot of the time that is not the case. Weird.

Curly,
On my site, the old SWSP alert program has quit working. I have waited as few days to be sure as it stopped on Wednesday afternoon. This is the exact wording..

PRIMARY LOCATION UNKNOWN
National Weather Service -

No alerts for this location

Any idea what happened? I did not change anything in any file and it is not sending any type of error message.

Thank You,
Mike

Curly,
I guess I can say nevermind as I in desperation flushed the cache and all is well again. My site users and myself really like the old SWSP alert program, especially the Hazardous Weather Outlook and I sure hope the NWS doesn't do something to trash it.

Thank you for making these programs available for us to use on our websites.

Take Care,
Mike

Well another edit:
It worked fine for one page view and then went back to Primary Location Unknown. I flushed the cache again and it worked for one page view and then went back to not working. I am going kinda nutz but if you can think of anything, please let me know..

Mine is fine. Checked the PHI area and currently shows HWO in effect.  http://vermilionweather.com/SWSPnational.php?WFO=phi

Well, as wierdness would have it, seems like the coordinates for the yellow target thing which I have used forever were the culprit. I moved the coordinates slightly south and bingo. I now get all the information....

Thank You,
Mike

After checking several WFO's, there's only a few that still have the SWSP page available.
Here is an example   http://forecast.weather.gov/hazards/
Some of the locations work but most do not.

I believe they will phase this out shortly.

Mine seems to be working fine no matter where I click and go on the map.
Not saying they are not going to be phasing it out, but fully functional for now.

It's not looking good...
There is no mention of it being discontinued in the National Service Change and Technical Implementation Notices
Also, the Severe Weather Summary Page is no longer listed as a WFO product. NWS Weather Forecast Office Product Listing

With a few lingering WFO's that still have the product, it will probably be phased out when they update to the new web design.
The Southern Region will be next on April 2nd.  Discontinuance of the NWS Southern Region Data Webpage Effective April 2, 2014

Some things they just don't announce, like the major forecast change the other day.
IMHO, I would say "It's time to pack it in".
