Friday we lit up another mountain-top site, Tassajera Peak. That's the peak along Cuesta Ridge closest to Morro Bay. CA.

http://www.weatherelement.com/tassajeraIt was really cold and windy up there today! When we got there around 10:15 AM, it was 45° with gusts to 40 mph or so, wind chill of 34°. In any case, the station is running, and while, at this time the wireless data link back to our house is way not 100%, the data buffering in the new WeatherElement Data Hubs caught up after a couple of hours.
This link is running on an older 900 MHz Ethernet wireless router link back to our house, >8 miles away.
At first the link didn't work, so when we got home I switched out the local beam antenna for a higher gain one. The link is there, but really intermittent. The antennas, surge arrestors, and feed lines are probably 10 years old and need some work.
In any case, WeatherElement data buffering works! It slowly uploaded all the stored data whenever it managed to connect with the router here. When the connection to the server is not available, the Data Hub stores up to 3000 records until the connection is restored, and then it uploads the data to the server.
