Must be missing something?
« on: November 09, 2014, 07:17:32 AM »
I've been waiting for the Ambient WS 1001 to come back in stock. Then today I saw the 1200 air bridge model for twice the price, but don't see what advantages there is over the 1001. Again I'm new so probably overlooking the obvious? Any help or suggestions will be appreciated... All new to this and excited to make the right choice..Thank you

I may be off a little but think this is pretty close.

The 1001 only sends data to Weather Underground. That's fine if that is all you want and need. It is simple to setup.

The 1200 with weaterbridge  actually a metobridge will send data to multiple weather INTERNET sites, to you own web page if you have one and to any data base of your choice.

Look here    http://www.meteobridge.com/wiki/index.php/Home

It is more complicated but considerably more powerful in capabilities.

Actually the 1200-IP is probably closer to the 1001 than the 1200 with weather bridge.
