Raspberry pi weather station
« on: January 15, 2021, 07:30:46 PM »
This is a home built weather station using a Rasberry pi 3. It uses a Argent Data System wind/rain sensor and a BME280 humidity, temperature, pressure sensor. It is mostly patterned on the system described in:

https://www.argentdata.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=145

The BME280 sensor is in the small birdhouse so as not to be affected by the heat generated from the Rasberry pi and other electronics. The Raspberry pi, power supply and other electrical components are in the larger bird house. The data is stored in a MySql data base on the pi and accessed through wifi. There are screens over the opening to the birdhouse and vent holes to keep birds out. Visitors have asked how are the birds supposed to use the bird house with screen over the door?
