I might just get the console, I have one spot that I would like to just glance at the wall at see what is going on. I don't need the sensors as I have more than the average bear. For the price of just the console and simplicity, it is cheaper than getting a cheap tablet , and less complicated than adding software to the tablet.

They should have replaced the "black transparent" solar shield with a white one to let consumers understand this is a crippled 5in1 outside station.

I think their target group for this station are not the weather enthusiasts with higher standards.
I think it's supposed to be just an entry-model for those who are happy to have some temperature, humidity, wind and rain information from their balcony or garden without further demands.
Only such people would go for this crippled outdoor sensor array - the console itself is not so bad - unfortunately they missed to let it show the solar radiation, even not on a 2nd page or as  programmable exchange or cycling. Then it could have become a fully fledged GW1x00 upgrade with display for basic sensors.

I have now ordered the console, will look at it and possibly (if worthwhile) ask Ecowitt to make appropriate changes to the firmware.
The problem is, first it is only about the light values. Then, however, some users would certainly also like to see the WH31 there. Or the WH51 or the WH57 or ...
The space on the display is very limited and the meanwhile somewhat overloaded display of the HP2551C we certainly do not want to have.
With the light values, however, one could still argue that these values are supplied by all other combination sensors and are therefore actually standard values.
Perhaps Ecowitt would like to sell the device as WS1900 with the WS69 at some point - for example, if the WN67 proves to be a slow seller.
There I would have hope that it works ...

There is still a difference between the WN19x0 console and a HP2551 console  - expecting the features of the HP2551 in the WN19x0 would be probably a bit more than slightly over the top
But the basic sensors: T/H/P indoor, T/H outdoor, wind, rain and solar it should show - even as a "diet" console (as in "diet" Coke).
Europeans usually don't get this as in Europe "diet Coke" is named "Coca Cola light".
