Title: where's the rain?
Post by: BuckeyeMark on July 09, 2015, 04:37:44 PM
New Davis Vantage Pro 2 station and everything is going fine - even got the serial logger to work through a serial port to USB converter!

But the software doesn't want to register rain.  Yesterday it rained .48 around noon.  I plugged it all in and got it working around 10 p.m.  It knew about the rain (was listed there in STORM) but it didn't show it.  It didn't register that .48 as rain today, or yesterday or anything like that.

Weirdly, the Davis abruptly listed .01 of rain (despite no real precipitation) and the software got that in the right place right away.  Wonder why it didn't list the .48 of rain I rec'd?

Take the rain bucket lid off (twist) and inspect, especially make sure you didn't leave the tipping bucket wire tied. It will have a yellow wire tie for shipping.

No I'm good.  The zip tie there is off.

It starts recording from the point when you first run it.
