I first saw the ObserverIP 2.0 mentioned as being compatible with their WH31LA leak sensor so I asked them about it.  All I know is that it's a new version of the ethernet capable Observer IP that supports the new sensors and it's expected to be available sometime early next year.  I asked if it would have any JSON output capability and the answer was "no" so I wouldn't hold my breath that it'll have any easy-to-use local data feed.  Maybe the custom web server option found in new console firmware versions or the Ecowitt GW1000 and GW1100.

I like wired ethernet for reliability but Ambient's prices (I doubt the new Observer IP 2.0 will be in the $30-40 range), slower firmware updates, and limited sensor options are pushing me more towards Ecowitt.  So far the GW1000 and GW1100 have been reliable on WiFi for me (although I must admit they're near my router).

So I was poking around Ambient's site looking to see if the AQIN/WH45 is back in stock (it is).   And noticed again the link to the ObserverIP 2.0 upgrade instructions.  Now, the pictures are all busted because the URLs are wrong, but if you adjust them right, you get this:

Look familiar?

To me the mysteriously hidden ObserverIP 2.0 looks like a howsoever upgraded WH2650 console (which is in a way an ObserverIP 2.0, WiFi instead of Ethernet cable or USB). If the firmware shows WH2682, then it's obviously the upgrade to the WH2650 which Ecowitt never sold directly - but Fine Offset did. see https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=40970.0
On the other hand they claim that it can only receive one PM2.5 sensor ...
Do we have here two parallel lines ?
GW1000 ---> GW1100 (--> GW2000)
WH2600 (old, ethernet) --> WH2650 (GW1000 API) --> WH2682 ? (GW1000 API + WebUI)
