How Could export wind speed to a Excel file?
« on: March 06, 2009, 04:11:48 AM »
I'm a newer. I had buy a WMR 200 and install it outside for 2 months.

I will connect the logger to the PC by a USB, the software(weather display) will input the data to PC.

Could you help me?( How could I export the wind speed  to a Excel File?)

I just need a data like it:
date              time           wind speed     wind direct
2009/1/1     16:12 20`          5.6               229
2009/1/1     16:12 30`          5.4               229
...

Thanks!

WD creates files that are already in Excel format.

Thanks,

Under the logfiles directory, there should be some csv files.

in WD you can set it to create a csv logfile, under setup, logfile setup (full version)
but also the default logfile,e.g, 32009lg.txt, is a space delimited logfile
which you can load into Excel as a space de limited logfile

I downlaod the pdf of WD last week, I found the logfile and know the meaning of the filename.32009lg.txt & 32009lg.cvs etc.
I load into the excel and export it to SPSS and got the data of all.

BTW, I found some bug in the logfile, the data is incomplete, for example: 22009.txt, I just have some day data, not all, WHY?

I try to import the data from console to my PC.
I found that many data is missing. For example: I found the Feb data is missing, but I found the file (wmr200history.txt) is so big(file size is about 12 M)

I open the file, the data is in the file , but I couldn't export to 22009lg.txt .

How could I do?
