More WU Weirdness
« on: September 14, 2020, 10:54:43 AM »
Just checking to see if anyone else has experienced this.  The WU website says that my weather station is offline (and has for over a month), but the WU Android app is working just fine.

What is wrong with them?  Is this supposed to be an improvement now that WU is "an IBM Business"?

WU's data is only an improvement to IBM, not its users, who submit the data to them.  they dont care...

sigh... It's a shame that it's ended up that way.

I tried to put a station online on Saturday.  For two days it would only show as "offline", now today it shows as "online" but I get a 404 when trying to view it.  I emailed them, we'll see if they do anything.

Cam came and went since January. I just deleted both FTP and URL. Sick of seeing the spinners go round. I'll leave the data simply because I am the only one in the middle of a fair area. So if anyone is actually interested in the data it would leave bit of a hole.

IBM gets their data. I get a universally shareable rapid update display for free. Good enough.

All else can be taken care of better elsewhere.
