Sadly, on 1-Jun-2025, I received a deletion request from Gary Roderick (gjr80) for his wxforum.net id .. I honored his request, but his existing posts remain.

Shortly thereafter, his GitHub ID of gjr80 and all his distributions were removed from GitHub.  I don't know the reason for this abrupt removal from the internet.

As such, Gary's weewx-saratoga plugin to WeeWX is no longer available on GitHub.  I do happen to have the last version of ws-0.1.10.tar.gz available and the last source code tar.gz and .zip files, but I am not posting them.  Please PM me if you need a copy.  I am deprecating the WEEWX-plugin.zip as the source code for weewx-saratoga is no longer publicly available.

I hope Gary is ok.  It was a great pleasure working with him to develop the weewx-saratoga plugin and his contributions to the weather hobby will be severely missed.

Not a WeeWx user, but I do have concerns for Gary, hope life is okay with him.

A few years ago, I privately communicated with Gary and enjoyed doing so.  As of 2025-05-27, he was still working on a GW3000 beta for Weewx and posted to the group on 2025-05-31 but on the next day, his github site was gone.

I also hope he is well and has simply decided to do something different but I fear that's not the case and some significant life-altering or ending situation has occurred.  His personal web site has all been erased but the nginx server is still running.

I am sorry to hear that, too. I hope that whatever caused his sudden withdrawal will be resolved, and perhaps he will rejoin us.The weewx-saratoga plugin was an elegant solution to bridging the two disparate systems, and Gary was helpful in resolving a few fit-and-finish issues I ad.
