0 V, no battery - afaik it only occurs when a sensor is not connected, be it because it doesn't exist physically or it stopped existing for the console because it ran out of battery

Thanks. Now what is "off"? I understand a level and DC, but "off" ?

I think that's the WS85 sensor:
{ "img": "wh85", "type": "49", "name": "Wind & Rain", "id": "FFFFFFFE", "batt": "9", "signal": "0", "idst": "0" },
sensorID 0x31 = dec 49 (type is the sensor #) - including the WS85 there are 49 sensors possible assuming the max number of each is registered
result of http://IP-address/get_sensors_info?page=1 on a GW1200 1.3.0 resp. a WS3910 on 1.2.9
What does battery=9 mean? 0.9V?

might be worth observing - but if there is an intermittent short time connection issue e.g. router, internet access etc. based, the icons may still disappear aknowledging this situation.
No idea how frequently this status is checked by the console firmware.
If it keeps on repeating, will be good
a) to check your network infrastructure
b) report the finding to support@ecowitt.net

Heh, good luck mate!
The cockatoos nibbled off the auxiliary power cable to my WH-90 within 24 hours of installation. Fortunately I’ve found no need for it as frost isn’t a common issue in my corner of Queensland, but it was illuminating to see how quickly they identified that cable as a somewhat expensive bird enrichment toy. They’ve started work on chewing the silicon band around the top of the WH-90, unsure if this is likely to cause me problems or not.
that's one of the reasons why we recommend to put the cable inside the pipe the WS90 is fixed to - our WiKi shows how to do this

the cable is not only for heating but for running the whole sensor array (if wanted)

Hi all.
Frequent lurker but infrequent contributor here.

Having something odd happen with my HP2551(C) that has just started occurring in the last month or so.

The icons that I have on the console for the various web weather sites that I contribute to come and go at random.

I contribute to Wunderground, Ecowitt, Weathercloud and WeatherObservationsWebsite (WOW). All of the icons for those services on the console come and go at random times from what I can see for no particular reason. What's strange is that all of those sites are reporting that they are receiving data regularly and without interruption eg my Ecowitt icon has not shown for at least the last 5 hours and yet ecowitt.net is reporting updates every minute and the information on that webpage matches with what is displayed on the console.

Is anyone else experiencing anything like this or is it just me?

I  have tried powering down the console for 5 minutes and restarting but no change. Any other suggestions?

Firmware versions are (as per the console):
~ Firmware revision number: Pro_V1.9.5
~ Wi-fi firmware: Easyweather 1.6.7 (although ecowitt.net reports my version as being V 1.6.6)

 ... probably fixed with firmware v1.3.1 ...

Hi!

There's a new firmware version V1.3.1 available for the GW1200.
Use the current WSView Plus app or the web interface (WebUI) of the GW1200 ("Device Setting") to update.

Changelog for V1.3.1:
  • Added support for WS85
  • Fixed for WH46 transmitter not receiving
  • Fixed some known bug

(same changelog as with v1.3.0)

apart from the fact that the GW1100 IS not a ESP8226 but HAS a ESP8226 on its PCB, you are unlikely to find someone here to help you in your tinkering attempts. This is not so much of a low level hardware forum here, but more average user oriented.
If you still find someone here, you are lucky.

And if you figure out how to do this, feel free to share the approach, best with a few pictures, here.
