I normally see the yellow gain LEDs on the H-field amp blink when the "Auto Adapt to Noise" feature changes the gains.

I believe it is normal operation.

When I brought the H-field on, and selected auto gain, that was the last I'd seen the yellows blink except at start up.

But it is now in an opaque box that is out doors, sealed up, so maybe it is doing it and I just don't notice it any more.

All the great light action (sort of like slot machines at the casinos in Vegas, trying to get my attention) is on the controller board, right where I can watch it blink away.

The E-field amp board is right near the controller, so I'm able to watch it a bit more, and it indeed may blink a yellow light (not all the same) every now an again.

PS, I believe in math and statistics so I've not fed the seductively lit and even more attention-grabbing sounding slot machines.  They are just money grabbers.

Since I'm in test and learn mode, I unplugged the h-field and let just the Efield run.

I was consistently seeing the strokes in Tennesee, but not in Oklahoma or Texas nor New Mexico or Montana.

When I plugged H back in, the participation lines returned to my station, when I wasn't in interference mode.

Well, some thinking and then I think I'll try doing the semi-automatic mode that was mentioned here if I can figure out how to make that work.  If I understand, it limits the upper value of how high the sensitivity can go.

I was consistently seeing the strokes in Tennesee, but not in Oklahoma or Texas nor New Mexico or Montana.

When I plugged H back in, the participation lines returned to my station, when I wasn't in interference mode.

Some of the reasons I suggested not unplugging the H field... and getting to know the characteristics of the 'new integrated' system without any automatics. Every time you plug unplug and amp, the system resets, and it's easy to forget what settings were, for one thing, if they weren't saved.

I agree.  It's easier in general to click the "don't send" checkboxes next to the H-field.
