Topic: Blitzortung production status

Hi all,

Long time without checking the status of this project and I see that it has been on hold for more than a year.

I see that the latest model that was in production was de Blue System but it says on their website that there is a waitlist with more than 7000 orders waiting.... Wow!

Does anybody know why they are not shipping or producing new hardware?

Does anybody know if there is any alternative hardware option for contributing to this project? Anyone having the PCB files and Gerber files so maybe we can start producing the boards from the community?

The project is NOT on hold, distribution of KITS is very limited for various reasons including logistics, the COVID issues, and the developers can only do so much so fast...EVERY request must be responded to, and the 'requestor' given a chance to respond to the invite.  The 90% of requestors who decline the invite delay the process for those who really want a kit.  Too bad.. but regulations and laws concerning such must be followed....it's BS, but lot's of folks have no idea what they're asking for until the request is answered with the invite .... Kits are currently prioritized to world regions of low density.  Best to request kit, and get in line, post your query directly on the Blitzortung forum.
