Downtown Rome took a direct hit yesterday. Probably an EF-1 tornado. I'm about 4 miles from downtown which got rocked.
I had no power for about 7 hours and my station is offline since the internet hasn't come back yet.

We are almost exactly in the middle between both places and just got some decent rain and a lot of thunder and lightning.

{EDIT} Ohhh The one to the west was on Monday, I thought they got hit yesterday too.

Devastated? Leave it to the press to overblow everything. Devastation is an EF5 leveling the entire town of Greenberg, KS. That's devastation.

Glad you're alright Tony. I saw the damage on FoxWeather, they kept playing it over and over. Church with its steeple blown off and lying nearby, big trees down, etc. But the video that got me was the truck that had about 4 feet of brick debris piled on top of it! There were brick buildings that were de-bricked one-by-one, never seen that before. Looked like someone just removed all the mortar and just piled feet of red brick on top of each other. It may have been an EF-2 but hope you were in a basement anyway!
