Hi, I currently own 2 acurite 5-in-1 bought in 2017 with a display for each. I also have the internet bridge to upload to the dashbard and WU and a local Raspberry Pi(that sadly died in 2020 so no more storing the data until I can replace it). One PWS is starting to have some problem with reporting the temperature(I did clean them and there is no obstruction/insect nest or other) I have not been following the PWS market much in the last 2 years and I see there are some new players around.
So, I was wondering if I should get a new atlas or if I should move to another brand. Price and reliability are important. (looking for sub-300$ PWS, so more serious PWS are out of my price range)
The internet bridge I have will work with the atlas, but not the display, so I'd need to get another one too, raising the cost to be comparable to other "consumer" brands. As such, reliability becomes the #1 factor. I see many posts about the atlas display having problem, but what about the station itself? Reliable? The new sensor is good? Is the company better then it was?(I still haven't completely digested the smart hub fiasco and only caved and bought the newer internet bridge because I didn't want to replace 2 perfectly working stations back then)
Thanks for any feedback!
