WiFiLogger and AirLink
« on: October 06, 2021, 01:22:50 PM »
Hi,

Multiple users were asking me, if WiFiLogger could connect to AirLink and resend data from it.

The questions are:
How many AirLink do you use in your place?
Should I program connection to just 1 AirLink?
Maybe you are using 2-3 AirLinks at your house?
What is the proper interval of reading data from AirLink?

Bad news: AirLink do not use UDP broadcast to allow to find it in local network like we can discover WL IP. In WiFiLogger IP of AirLink has to be set by user and monitor if router will not change it in time. Pro users can set router to fix AirLink IP, or set static IP.

An old post, sorry. Maybe this information is useless... The only method to find an airlink is to scan the network.

Otherwise, the data can be retrieved directly, per http, e.g. http://hostalets.dyndns.org/v1/current_conditions
