Hi, recently the battery died in my Vantage Pro 2 ISS. While that was dead the batteries died in the console also. I replaced the batteries in both and all seemed ok, but now VWS crashes within minutes of starting. I have tried upgrading and reinstalling, turning of internet features, turning off rapid fire, running the debug version, nothing helps. The debug version does not give any message when crashing. I moved all my data (all of c:\vws) to a different directory and did a new install, that does run ok, but only has new data. When I move the data back it starts crashing again. I suspect the data is corrupted, not sure how to fix that. I get a message from windows (w7 home premium) that the application has stopped working and will be closed. Every time it starts it writes hundreds of records to wunderground, even though it just wrote them all a few minutes ago when I last started it. The info all looks normal that I see on the screen.
http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=KWAAUBUR8 The info there matches up currently, but there are huge holes in the data. Is there some way to clean up the data so that it runs? Should/Can I zero out the database and start clean from here but keep data from last year?
