Assuming you don't have transmitters other than ISS and maybe a separate wind transmitter then see if you can still source a 6351 Vue console from somewhere and use that with pressure setting = Altimeter in place of the Envoy. (If the pressure error is important enough to you!)

I am using the WeatherLink 6.0.5 software.  Input correct altitude and then the reference pressure reading from the local airport.

By what means are you configuring the Envoy barometric pressure in relation to Station Elevation & Sea-Level reading?

Just a bit of information.  I have had the Vantage Pro 2 since February and transmit simultaneously to both a new 6313 Console, and a Weather Envoy.  The Console does a good job of tracking my local barometer reference, but the Envoy barometer consistently reads low and responds slower to pressure changes.  The console is used mainly for casual readings in the house.  The Envoy is connected with the Davis Data logger to a computer with Weatherlink software uploading to Weatherlink.com.  There my pro package sends the data to CWOP, WU, etc.

I have read the 6313 Console uses the Altimeter method for tracking the barometric pressure, but the Envoy uses the "Standard" method.  I cannot get the Envoy to work and match the reference data.

The reference data is a local regional airport and it sits at 5505 foot altitude and is 4.16 US Miles from my Envoy and logger.  The Envoy sits at 5818 foot altitude.  So it's 317 feet higher.  As an example just today, my current reading of the reference altitude is 30.12 inches and my Envoy is reading 30.00.  It reads consistently low.   Just for comparison, the 6313 Console is reading 30.13, similar to the airport reading.  Also the 6313 Console and the Weather Envoy are only 25 feet apart in the same house.

So how do I fix this?  CWOP is hating my barometric pressure reading via the Davis Weather Envoy, and I don't know how to fix this.

.......
"when you say it disconnects from the sensors, does this mean mean that WS View Plus (WSV+) stops displaying the live data ? : no
(if no sensor data are transmitted, WSV+ disconnects respectively doesn't build up the connection to the gateway)
If so, does the WebUI (https://IP-address-of-your-GW1100) show the same behaviour ?" : yes
So - when you say here "no", that means that WSV+ still DOES display data => the GW1100 receives sensor data (otherwise WSV+ couldn't display them) - so it doesn't disconnect from the sensors.

Before I go to further conclusions, please confirm that WSV+ displays the live data (or you said "no" = doesn't stop, but meant "yes", it stopped = does no longer display data).

To make it simple: can you see live data of the GW1100 via WS Vew Plus ?

Waiting for your reply and will take it from there.

Davis Instruments Weather Stations / Re: WeatherLink Console 6313 has arrived!

Every single morning now, the console is dead and unresponsive until I power cycle it.

Davis customer service is a disgrace.

Absolutely fed up with this bullsh*t!

Console has completely frozen now:

https://ibb.co/CHGW5Wv

I see that the local console data is there, as is the wind info. Do you have a separate anemometer transmitter?

Have you checked the ISS battery? it almost looks like you are missing the ISS. A console reset might initialize the frequency-hopping sequence in the morning and there is enough for the ISS to begin transmitting again. Just a thought....

Greg H.

Anemometer is on it's own transmitter.

All transmitter batteries are fine. My WLL picks them all up fine and there's barely ever a resync.

The WLL shows each transmitter's RSSI between -50dB and -60dB. The console is always -80dB to -90dB and is constantly resyncing. The antenna placement on the console is absolutely shocking in terms of signal.

'm sorry I wasn't precise when describing the problems with my GW1100;

Reconnect within 5 seconds doesn't work technically - so what do you mean ? : no
- you restart WS View Plus after five seconds ? : no
- you make a reset (pressing the black button between the red and blue LEDs for > 5 seconds) ? : yes

I assume that your GW1100 is connected via WiFi/router/internet to ecowitt.net - so, do the one-minute updates also stop ? : yes
Are there gaps in the table view of your ecowitt.net dashboard ? (5-minute records). : yes

How do you know that the GW1100 disconnects from the sensors every two days ? :  disconnection dates :22/03/24, 25/03/24, 30/03/24, 02/04/24, 03/04/24,04/04/24, 09/04/24,12/04/24.
Are you permanently sitting in front of the WSV+ app ? : no
What indicates for you the 2-day disconnect ? : it's approximate
Does this disconnect always happen at the same time (clock) or after the same period of time (duration since last reset/restart) ? : no, without my intervention the gw1100 no longer receives sensor data.

I should add that my HP2550 console receives sensor data without interruption.

I hope I've described my problem accurately.
thank you for your patience

Good evening

Weather Web Site Help / Social Media Icons - CSS Help
« Last post by K6GKM on April 13, 2024, 02:24:41 PM »
Hello all,

Trying to get my Social Media Icons lined up neatly in a row in my menubar, centered and evenly distributed, and I have to admit I'm not very up-to-speed with CSS (by not very I mean not at all).

I tinkered with putting each icon in the cell of a table:

Code: [Select]
<!-- Social Media  -->
<p class="sideBarTitle">Social Media</p>
<div style="width:100%; border:none;">
<table style="width:100%">
  <tr>
    <td style="align-items: center;">
      <a href="http://www.facebook.com/CamarilloWX/" target="_blank" title="Like CamWX on Facebook"><img src="/other-img/facebook.png" width="25" height="25" title="Like CamWX on Facebook" alt="Facebook"/></a>
    </td>
    <td style="align-items: center;">
      <a href="https://www.instagram.com/camwx1/" target="_blank" title="Follow CamWX on Instagram"><img src="/other-img/Instagram_Glyph_Gradient.png" width="25" height="25" title="Follow CamWX on Instagram" alt="Instagram"/></a>
    </td>
    <td style="align-items: center;">
      <a href="https://www.x.com/camwx1/" target="_blank" title="Follow CamWX on X"><img src="/other-img/x-social-media-logo-icon.png" width="25" height="25" title="Follow CamWX on X" alt="X"/></a>
    </td>
  </tr>
</table>
</div>

But I wind up with

The horizontal alignment is right, but the spacing is obviously way off.  I think that may have to do with the inherited sizing of the A tag, but I'd rather use CSS to get the look I want anyway... using a table just seems a bit clunky and old fashioned.

Next I gave this a shot:

Code: [Select]
<!-- Social Media  -->
<p class="sideBarTitle">Social Media</p>
<div style="width:100%; border:none;">
  <div style="width:33%; align-items:center;">
      <a href="http://www.facebook.com/CamarilloWX/" style="width:100%;" target="_blank" title="Like CamWX on Facebook"><img src="/other-img/facebook.png" width="25" height="25" title="Like CamWX on Facebook" alt="Facebook"/></a>
  </div>
  <div style="width:33%; align-items:center;">
      <a href="https://www.instagram.com/camwx1/" style="width:100%;" target="_blank" title="Follow CamWX on Instagram"><img src="/other-img/Instagram_Glyph_Gradient.png" width="25" height="25" title="Follow CamWX on Instagram" alt="Instagram"/></a>
  </div>
  <div style="width:33%; align-items:center;">
      <a href="https://www.x.com/camwx1/" style="width:100%;" target="_blank" title="Follow CamWX on X"><img src="/other-img/x-social-media-logo-icon.png"  width="25" height="25" title="Follow CamWX on X" alt="X"/></a>
  </div>
</div>

But that gives me this:

Stacked instead of in a row. I don't know what would be causing a return, there are no <br/> tags in the code.

I've also played around with the justify-items and align-items CSS properties, but nothing seems to get them centered or even on the same line with each other.

Would someone be able to point me in the right direction to get the look I'm after using CSS?  I'd be super appreciative.

Edit: Work in progress at https://CamWX.com/index_dev.php.

I think its a http v.s. https issue.  Your sticker image at http://weatherelement.com/Candler/Sticker.jpg is HTTP only.  I tried using https, but it fails to http.  Modern browsers prevent loading mixed (http) contents in a https page.

Contact the admin for weatherelement.com and ask them to add a LetsEncrypt cert to allow the content to be served via https.

Chit-Chat / Weather sticker dilema
« Last post by ocala on April 13, 2024, 10:18:57 AM »
I use Chrome as my browser. When using the sticker below if I add [img] to the beginning and end
 it will not even show up as a url. When I remove the img placeholders the url will show up.
However when I use Firefox the url actually shows the sticker, which is what I want. When I remove the img placeholders just the url shows up.
My question is what setting in Chrome  needs to be changed to get the above url to show the sticker.
FWIW Edge does the same thing as Chrome.
I tried to add the url below with [img] but  this board won't let me add it. The space comes up blank in the post.
