Topic: Meteobridge Twitter API Error

About 3 days ago, my Meteobridge stopped transmitting messages to my twitter account. I have tried going through the reactivation process, but it appears like something with the API is still disconnected.

Have any other Meteobridge users utilizing the Twitter features noticed a problem?

Twitter has invalidated all the original API keys.  You have to jump through many hoops involving signup for a new read/post free API key with their API V2, and even then, the meteobridge software may not work with the new API V2 from twitter.  Grumble.

I had to retire my Twitter feed when the API change by Twitter took place.

    As twitter dropped the v1 API Meteobridge relied on to upload messages, twitter support is removed from Meteobridge. Sorry guys.

I'm currently toying with IFTTT to post to Facebook/Twitter through Ambient Weather's connected services. It's definitely not going to be as quick as the Meteobridge twitter updates were, but with IFTTT Pro, I should be able to get updates out in around 5 minutes.

If I end up having success with it, I'll report out here.

Anybody has an alternative, to share alerts/weather conditions? Maybe a way to publish on a html page, for instance. I used a lot Twitter, that's A pity.
