See Randy's post above.
Unless you're truly a nut case like me, you probably won't care.

Poorly stated saying "error". The VP2 is doing it's job, it just doesn't do the altimeter setting.

And the Vue does a better job? I thought the VP2 was top of the line for Davis, no?
This is the lone function of the VP2 it doesn't have that the Vue console does, hence why I bought one a year ago.

Ah ha! Another reason for a VP3!!
I realize we're getting OT, but my entire reason for a PWS is to see what's going on outside. I highly doubt a VP3 will be superior to what I have now.
If the specs were superior you know you would buy it.
Yes, I would, but I have ASOS quality as it is now.

If a superior product does comes out, which has all the bells and whistles that you have, you could sell your station on Ebay, like someone in this Forum has pointed out. However, if you do, I hope it isn't as ugly as the one being recently mentioned!
Davis VP2 with SHT31 (3 complete VP2 systems—2 with a daytime fan and 1 that has a 24 hour fan); CWOP--CW5020, FW3075 and FW4350; WU--KILWHEAT17, KILWHEAT36 and KILWHEAT39; WeatherCloud.net; CoCoRaHS--IL-DP-132; and Weatherlink 2.0

Long summer days are fine as long as they end with massive thunderstorms

That's an no no here. Thunderstorms and spruce forest don"t mix well.   Generally ends up  like what you are having in the red stuff in the SE now.

See, that's just it, I don't have "bells and whistles" as you well know. What I do have is a PWS that brilliantly does it's job. That's everything for me. =D>

Happens to the best of us. However, some aspirin and meditation usually fixes these issues.

Shouldn't you be in bed rather than monitoring weather humor in the US?

All I see is a tee-shirt... :-"

Really? Are you using chrome or something else? Works on chrome for me even full screen in HD or chromecast to TV.

Snow scenes don't work in Arizona! Works fine here in Chicago--home of the World Series Champs!

Too much Arizona sunshine!

For those that get cold watching the snow try the Bali trail cam of elephants taking tourist on rides. Temperature stays the same year round.

here is what is in store in the near future for us. this  from our forecast discussion.

850 mb temperatures from around -20C to colder than -25C will
continue to cover most of the northern Alaska mainland through
Friday, with the exception of the southeast interior which could
see temperatures moderating to around -10C Tuesday and Tuesday
night, but with colder air returning Wednesday.

Surface temperatures will be governed by both the temperatures
aloft and cloud cover. Temperatures in inland areas with clear
skies could fall to 25 to 40 below. However, RH progs from the
current model runs suggest that cloud cover will persist over
most areas under the trough aloft and this will serve to mitigate
temperatures at the surface. The greatest likelihood of clear
skies and colder surface temperatures is expected to be in areas
near and west of the upper trough axis.

Noon time here and we are at minus 10 and dropping.  At 0700 this morning it was -2 . looks like the artic front is passing thru... Clear and cold is the forecast for today. Yesterday we came up with inch of powder. was an real lazy snow fall.

Now  to go fire up the Kubota and  move some  house warming material.
