To clarify, I believe the issue is the several-orders-of-magnitude increase in web traffic to the servers that host these images. I'm pretty sure all the people flocking to NOAA's Space Weather websites for information is overwhelming the servers.
That was the issue I had originally written about. Grant - K6GKM, had thought we may be seeing the effects of the sunspot causing the loss of signals. Time will tell.
BTW, I am still getting the errors on the solar images.

I don't know if there will be aurora tonight, I've been thwarted for over 25 years with clouds and no-shows, but if you have one of those nice time lapse weather cameras running and you get some good photos and time lapse of the aurora, please post! Dale
