Do Indoor and Outdoor Air Quality Sensors Act the Same?

(1/1)

mooseo:
I have both an outside and inside air quality monitor. (PM25 and WH44B). I'm not sure the outdoor one is working properly, but wanted to ask before I chuck it.

I noticed that the outdoor sensor didn't seem to be varying much, so I put them side by side indoors for a week. I lit a candle in the room about 2m away and noticed the indoor sensor spiked to 400, while the outside one went to 35.

Do these both use the same sensor and sampling interval? Is there any explanation for this other than that one (or both) is not working properly?

I'd say your sensor needs cleaning.
