Topic: Got a new station for Christmas?

Tell us if you got (or are getting) a new weather station for Christmas. Tell us what you got and what you had before or if it will be your first station.

If this is your first station or you are contemplating a station, there is some incentive to get it installed before January 1st. Which is to benefit from having a full year of data to look back at as the years of data build up. You'll then also have complete yearly rain to make good comparisons. So if you have to wait till Christmas to unwrap at least start working on your installation mast so that it can be quick and simple after the 25th.

Not intended for Christmas, but expected to arrive around then, my new Mi.Sol     A replacement for my old dead Fine Offset WH 3081.  Run in tandem with 1, soon to be 2 GW 1000's

Don't forget there are other toys out there to go with our weather stations! Grabbed myself a Purpleair sensor for my Christmas present this year. Got it up and running a couple of weeks ago

I forgot, I bought a soil moisture sensor off AliExpress to go with the GW 1000.  Should be interesting to see if I can get a better handle on when to start my irrigation off.  (I usually watch when the farmer next door turns his on, but you can't beat knowing how your own soil is doing)

Have decided to get a Davis Vantage Pro 2 with Weatherlink Live and Anemometer Transmitter.
Need to figure out how to install my Davis 7714 shield from WMII when gear arrives.
Future additions will be AC 24 Hour FARS and Solar Sensor and Meteobridge  (when funds permit)

Just heard my weather station has been departing and arriving back at the distribution centre for the past 3 weeks.  Not actually left China yet!  Looks like it will be a New Year present to me now.  Oh well
