Froggit WH4000 on Davis Tripod
« on: May 24, 2020, 07:02:14 AM »
This is my Froggit station on a Davis tripod that I only got recently. Station itself has been up since Jan 3rd but was on the fence in the distance so the readings were terrible. Ever since getting the tripod on May 5th, readings have been very good esp in the heat we've had the last few days. Grass seed starting to sprout up in the area too. Pic is looking NE

How did you secure it from strong wind tip over protection? Are there stakes in the ground?
Looks like that is what 10 feet? I would add an extention to take it to about 15 feet.

There's lag bolts in the ground that are about a foot long and they are not coming out for no one! The station is 1.8m from the ground & has done well for local temps & such so don't see the need to raise it higher. Not focused on the wind, mainly the temps.
