Indeed, Gerry was very helpful to me when I was first investigating Blitzortung and gave many helpful tips.

I emailed him with my original 6.8USB "Green" station build photos ( http://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=18743.0 )  posted here on WXForum, but I don't know if he visits/comments here. Does anyone know? Gerry? What's his handle here if he does?

Gerry gave me some great pointers in constructing my first antennas, a pair of shielded flat-panel loop antennas that perform very well! I also had a Lightning Radar installation running for a time using the loops connected directly to a sound card without any preamp whatever! It worked very well.

Gerry has been playing around with Schumann resonance frequencies and lightning detection at great distances. Check out his site for info on his winding jig for the huge ferrite antenna he constructed with miles of wire for detecting the VVVVVV-LF Schumann frequencies. Brilliant!

Gerry also maintains Blitzortung Green station #544.

It would be great to get more of his experience here on the board! Gerry ran a parallel Blitzortung US TOA board until the Wxforum board here got traction.
