Davis Solar powered wireless repeater 7627 (US)
« on: November 29, 2009, 12:16:32 PM »
This is the product.

Wireless Repeater with Solar Power

For longer distances or to improve reception in troublesome areas, add one or more Wireless Repeaters. Transmitting and receiving range for each repeater is up to 1000' (300 m) outdoors, line of sight; typical range through walls under most conditions is 200' to 400' (60 to 120 m). Includes solar panel, regulator circuit, and rechargeable battery.

Use up to eight repeaters with a single wireless station, or form a network of weather stations by linking eight repeaters to eight different wireless stations.

Compatible with Vantage Pro2 and Vantage Vue only; not compatible with original Vantage Pro.

I used it with my VP2 when I first set it up because the sensor unit was in a clearing  well away from the house and the receiver was on the other side of my house, in the basement.  Now that I have moved the receiver to the main level with direct line of sight to the sensors I no longer need it.

It works great!  It received and repeated my signal, allowing it to essentially receive around a corner.  They retail for about $211 and I'll consider any offer.

Good morning!!

How old is the unit and what is you asking price. I have a Vantage Vue that has been working great. It lost signel only one time sence February. But I have noticed a lot of swing in the signel when I chart it. I don't know if the repeater would help that mutch but it should keep the signel stength more even.

Thanks Jr.

Um, that was for sale 12 years ago!  LOL Sorry, I don't even recall if I sold it or not, but I don't have any weather station stuff any more.
