Anemometer photos- and questions about my setup

Sounds great; I actually just reviewed a plan of the house on paper and the distance is going to be more like 50-60' (if the tower does go in that spot), which should still be good. It is far from meeting the CWOP guidelines, but should be good anyway. My only criteria is for the anemometer to be completely free from influence of house eddies that could affect wind direction and speed. I suppose getting it above the house height would largely eliminate that threat anyway, but I'll probably get the anemometer up 40' anyway to really be certain.
I haven't seen many ground-based tower wx stations, but would love to know the results from anyone who has one.

I've see a few photos on other forums where people have mounted the anemometer on the tower. And not at the very top either.

I've seen some pics of that type of setup, but I'm going to need to put the anemometer on a mast atop the tower due to obstructions. The trees surrounding the site/the house itself are going to warrant getting it up at least 35' or so. So far, the most cost effective solution seems to be a 30', self-supporting tower, w/a 5-10' mast attached to the top of that. Due to the light weight of the anemometer, I don't think even a 10' mast should have any problems with sturdiness. I'll be getting another VP2, so the design of the VP2 anemometer should work in my favor- the arm extending outward from the anemometer itself to the mast is small on the VP2, wheras I know that many other anemometers from other manufacturers have a longer arm. Ah, decisions- this probably won't happen until the fall, so I have plenty of time to figure out the details.
