New RG-15 - anyone try it yet?
« on: October 17, 2020, 08:48:13 AM »
I checked the Hydreon website and saw that there is a new RG-15 model.

It looks interesting. They eliminated the DIP switches for all but the tip amount and metric/inch setting. It says that it has a serial port interface. You would have to make your own connections to it. For me, the inch/tip amount and inches setting would suffice.

It looks like this might be able to steal power (@ 110ľA idle/2-4mA raining) from a Davis station, or at least be easy to power by solar.
