thanks to Ken True

wu forecasts much improved and 60-70% reduction in code .  4 files related forecastwu.php , outlookwu.php and two css files (minor alignment for wu forecast)

as always  https://github.com/weather34/Meteobridge-Weather34-Template

ps the ability to track improvements via Github is really beneficial , I simply follow Ken and it gives the ability to track changes, improvements with an email notification..Github is the way forward for getting updates be it a small or significant update.

screenshot no real significant visual change but the underneath quite significant reduction in code..many thanks to Ken True.

Hi Brian,
Thanks for the kind words about my code simplification of your original WU/TWC scripts.  I try to make code that I can easily maintain in the future, so using a loop to run through the JSON of the forecasts makes for much smaller code and easy to change the presentation of each variable (so it applies to all the instances).

Best regards,
Ken

Brian,

Just noticed that the 40.svg icon (Heavy Rain) must be missing from the WU forecast.

Best Wishes,

Chuck

Hi,

I installed the very early version long time ago for my weewx setup. How can I upgrade to the latest version without having to set up again.

Thank you very much for the beautiful dashboard.

Hi everyone .. I recently bought the meteobridge nano sd and I'm using the local dashboard included ... Only I noticed that the design is different from the others .. Why? I would like to have what other users who use meteobridge have ... I enclose the 2 screens to let you see the differences ... 😁 😁
The first screen (round temperature icon) is mine, instead I'd like to have the dashboard like the second screen ..

no problem chuck

think thats as much as I can do with the newer WU api and always good to have options.. needs a slight tweak on the colors for temperature but apart from that think ill just fix some other minor issues this week and then hand it all over ..let someone else focus on anything in the future..

as always chuck its good you follow the updates and your station and area always highlighs those minor annoyances I just dont see or forget to cross check ..i.e colors on the wu temperature and feels like

Hi

Just some cosmetic things.

With the latest WU Forecast update, You have "AM Clouds" and "PM Sun". Using the 24-hour clock the correct wording could be "Morning Clouds" and "Afternoon Sun"

Also in the Moon Phase module and the Moon Info module there are some AM/PM, even I'm using the 24-Hour clock.

Thanks for a great template.

good morning mr cosmetic :-)

the weather underground is like that in the API output apart from writing a load of what if ! or else ! statements not much we can do

you can see in the api output
"wxPhraseLong":["AM Clouds/PM Sun","Mostly Clear","Partly Cloudy","Mostly Cloudy","Cloudy","Partly Cloudy","Cloudy","Cloudy","Cloudy/Wind","Cloudy","Cloudy/Wind","Partly Cloudy/Wind"],"wxPhraseShort":["AM Clouds","M Clear","P Cloudy","M Cloudy","Cloudy","P Cloudy","Cloudy","Cloudy","Cloudy/Wind","Cloudy","Cloudy/Wind","P Cldy/Wind"]}]}

ive updated the repo the file livedata.php see if that helps ? let me know ..brian

a long overdue idea finally done barometer almanac (barometeralmanac.php )
and simplifying the basic days ahead awareness using weather underground API (forecast3wularge.php)

Hi everyone, I have a meteobridge nano sd and besides the local dashboard I wanted (through the altervista site that I just created) to meet the weather34 dashboard on the site to share it on the net .... I followed the steps described on the site, so I have downloaded the zip file, unzipped on the desktop, then through filezilla I created a folder (pws) and transferred via ftp to altervista the files inside the folder created on the desktop ... the next step would be to identify my domain to enter the dashboard , I just don't know how to do it or I don't know how to do it anyway .. because if I try to click to enter my site it gives me nothing ... what am I wrong ??? could you help me ??? thank you so much

I don't have any specific knowledge concerning Altervista, but you should be able to login to your Dashboard at http://"Your_Altervista_Domain_Name"/pws/easyweathersetup.php.

On altervista, you have to enable external HTTP requests in the control panel .. otherwise, the forecast won't work at all.
