Will this help????
« on: December 14, 2014, 11:42:00 AM »
.... anybody see a + for something like this?
http://frankfortweather.us/mapper/
I've been 'lobbying" for a return to the old Signals and FFT graphics, but have had little feedback that's useable in my limited knowledge and experience... However, this may be an intermittent step, in a long journey, to help us see our systems as the server sees them...
Only KY, OH, TN, and Lonesome Stan in Maui are currently active on the mapper.... I'll only proceed if you guys and gals are 'in favor"....
and, only stations that were 'online' and reporting at the time of creation are 'spotted'....
So, need help and suggestions if we decide this is worthwhile....
Mike

Okay... received a bit of feedback from Egon.... maybe we can get some 'higher' resolution Sigs and FFT online by the end of the year...
that may help us all get 'optimized' for next year.... when Region 3 becomes the most accurate in all Blitzortung...  and with an
updated system due out by spring/summer... a whole bunch of new/(same old) questions from 'plug and players'  ](*,) who know little
about the overall system.... will be fun, I'm sure....  System "Blue" may come in several varieties.... stay tuned.  =D>

I like it also.  Now to get all others to be clickable to see other stations' info.

I see the map but perhaps I am a little slow, what is its' purpose and what features will it include? All I currently see is a map of north america central america and part of south america along with symbols that seem to be showing the location of the on-line stations. Am I missing something here?

Okay, took me a bit to see what you are talking about. Click on the active station to see the information for that particular station. Nice!

Here's a suggestion: make it a "on-mouseover" and pop-up a small window that shows the Last Signal image and also allows you to click on it to get the rest of the information for that site.

Great idea Mike!  =D>

Thinking that 'popups' would delay page loading... This will be a 'large' page if completed... might look at that down the road... also, as hinted above, have received some info from Egon that may add an extra dimension, similar to the previous station signals page we experimented with a few months ago...  I've also got to learn 'what I can get away with" in setting this up... still (pat on my on back, once only, and didn't break my arm) maybe not too bad for a guy who doesn't know what he's doin' [-o<  ,,,,
