Topic: Detector in overdrive?

Hello, all!

Since a few days (i think) i had to lower my gains significantly because my detector was in interference mode constantly, i restarted it maually but i am still getting this constant spike on my signals page as you can see in the screenshot...

My station number is 2274 and my station name is Antwerp..

Any help greatly accepted!

There may also be more than one source. In the 3-10kHz area. Do you have a bunch of electric vehicles in the area?

Thanks for your answer, i am not aware of electric vehicles in my proximity, there is a streetlight right in front of our house but that never was in issue, because it has been there from the beginning. However they are building two new houses here a few meters away. perhaps they are using chargers are building dryers. Hve to check aroun d for that...

when a vapor lamp... perhaps your streetlight..., gets old it can generate all kinds of noise... especially when it's trying to fire... I've several in my area, drive me nuts, but cannot get utilities, or private owners, to see the issue and replace them.... .

The inverters on photovoltaic systems can generate noise. Any new solar panels in your area? But I think that they usually operate at about 25 kHz.

Hi all,

I installed solar panels in 2014 and had never a problem with them (i think). As there are several new houses built here in my street, i presume every now and then some heavy machinery is used and perhaps that is the reason for the occasionally interference spikes.
