I wonder if some are put off by the "beta" label. I think that 7.0b5 is worthy of a full release. It is stable and works great.

maybe,.. a couple had issues with some earlier releases, but Tobi fixed 'em, far as I know.

Yep, that's why it's a 7.0b5. I've been running since it came out on May 18th. Have had zero problems with it AND, I immediately discovered that the new features and capabilities gave me much better strike ratios. It also helped to eliminate some noise issues I had when everything was setup in my office.

It is my opinion that everyone should be running 7.0b5 at this point in time. It's been a solid beta for over a month now with no known failures.

I'm still running v6.8 simply because it's what I downloaded at the time I was bringing my system online, figured that would be enough of a challenge.  I'll probably upgrade to the latest beta version this weekend after I get everything else addressed.

Upgrading to the latest firmware first will make everything easier to adjust now, as numerous bug fixes are included. Makes sense to run with the latest, as it takes seconds to update. It will also make troubleshooting easier if we're all on the same release.

As Don mentioned, the upgrade process through the web interface is really quick and simple -- much faster than the original programming of 6.8.

Yeah it was much easier.  Got it done this morning after I got home from work.

The only caveat is that you will need to monitor the BO forum for updates, since the beta(s) do not show the availability of an update. They also fail the checksum after the flash. Tobi warned of both issues, which are minor but worth being aware of.
