Davis vantage pro2 serial

Can I use a serial to usb adapter to connect to my Vantage Pro to a Raspberry Pi running WeeWX?  Is there one better than another.  Or should I replace the logger with a usb model?

Yes.  Get a converter with a Prolific brand chipset.
