I've successfully installed WFL 2 with Davis console, and it is sending data reliably to both Weatherlink.com (see https://www.weatherlink.com/bulletin/4fee33f9-edfd-4298-9d99-b88dc38e543b) and Met Office WOW (see https://wow.metoffice.gov.uk/observations/details?site_id=a6d50193-1018-ea11-b265-0003ff599673). However, I can't work out how to get it to send data either (1) to the Weatherlink software on a local PC,
You can not send data to the Weatherlink software on a local PC or any other weather-program.
But your Weatherlink software on your local PC can download all archive data from WL.com
Or
You can use the WiFilogger as any other logger with WeatherLink on a PC
https://www.weatherstations.co.uk/wifi-logger.htm ==>
WiFi connection to a local computer running weather station software
The WFL behaves essentially like a local WeatherlinkIP logger and
offers exactly the same storage capacity and data formats as the standard Davis logger,
including real-time (LOOP and LOOP2) and archive/summary data.
or (2) to an internet ftp site. Sadly I cannot find anywhere documentation to support this - WFL own website has a manual which helpfully omits all such topics, and web searches haven't turned up this information.
Ip address of your logger
http://192.168.0.210/ftpexport.htmlThere you can enter your webserver settings and let the Wifilogger upload those files.
Can anyone help with simple instructions, or point me to where I can find them?
Thanks!
If you just want to have those files and write your own website scripts you are finished.
If you want to use a weather-template to quick-start your development, this is my "dashboard-template' using the data as uploaded to WeatherLink . com
https://sluispark.be/pwsDWL/index.php?lang=en-uk or use a far larger template also with the Weatherlink.com data
https://sluispark.be/weather28/index.php?p=wsStartPage&wp=DW&lang=enThe Saratoga templates (which is the most-used one) also supports the WeatherLink.com data.
Be aware that your WiFiLogger is basically a logger PLUS extra's. It is not a replacement for a weather-program (now). But the designer is enhancing the product as we speak.
