'advforecast2.php (JSON) - V5.13 - 08-Aug-2019'
« on: October 27, 2019, 07:07:39 AM »
This was the latest version available when I checked a few minutes ago. 'advforecast2.php (JSON) - V5.13 - 08-Aug-2019' stopped working this morning with the North Platte office. It was bringing up zone forecast so reverted back to a much older version and it still works.  'advforecast2.php (multi) - V4.05 - 21-May-2018'

If you get the zone forecast, that doesn't mean it isn't working. It just means that the point forecast for your locatoin is not being returned by the API. When I see this, it is usually the case for the area covered by an entire NWS office.

You can contact your office and let them know that api.weather.gov is not returning point forecasts.

Okay, thanks for the response. Wonder why the API works with one version and not the other?

The API is only used by V5.x of the script.  The V4.x version of the script is a 'page-scraper' of the point-printable forecast page from forecast.weather.gov -- they are two different sources.

The API sometimes does not have point forecasts due to internal NWS database loading issues, so the Zone forecast is shown instead for V5.x of the script.  Your area appears to have that NWS issue at this time.  If it persists, then call the number for the NWS office shown and let them know that the GFS forecast needs to be updated for their area.

I've called our local NWS office before cause of that issue and they fixed it pretty quick.
