It looks like the link for downloading the code is dead.  Does anybody have a link to the files?

How about the files themselves?

I found these in my archives:

Jerry

For some reason when I copy your Coronavirus link into the Announcement script when I hit the "commit" button it drops the link to JHU. Screenshots are first before hitting the "commit" button and second screenshot is after hitting the "commit" button. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

BTW I didn't take out the "Link" for test purposes.

Thanks

You need to set 'Display Hours'.  I use 999 for this announcement, but it will need to be renewed sometime.

Jerry

I had the "Display Hours" set, I guess just not in the screenshot. I just tried "999" with the same results that it drops the link when I hit the "commit" button.
Thanks for taking a look. Let me know if you need any other info.

Use HTML tags?
Yes.  I had the same issue as described by MikeyM initially.  Select "Yes" for HTML tags and it will keep the link.

But somehow the link is available at the top of your page.  Not sure what's going on there...

I don't see the 'HTML' box.  Are you using the revised script or the original one?

I finally discovered a small typo in the specanoun.php script. "Expires" was shown as "Exirpes" or something.

Code: [Select]
$saData = array('false',$uts,'ADD TITLE','#99FFAA', '#222', 'Add message', '#DDD', 'black', '99%', 'center', 'center', 'Expires', 'OFF', '2', 'No');
Changing in this line was "necessary, but insufficient" as they say. I also had to edit the text in the drop down box under the DISPLAY EXPIRATION section. It was held in the sadata.php in the /sacache directory. After the fact, I can see that the sadata.php file updated after I made this entry, so it probably could have been corrected here as well.

Doing both things seems to have resolved it. It took me quite a while to even notice this. I have been using this script for quite some time.
