In the same boat here :-(

Edit 12:20 pm CDT 2015 March 31:
My text point forecast is 'http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=40.7843&lon=-96.6419&unit=0&lg=english&FcstType=text&TextType=1' while Lincoln, NE text forecast is 'http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=40.8169&lon=-96.7109&unit=0&lg=english&FcstType=text&TextType=1'

I can't find the old point forecasts. Ken is probably going to have to bail us out again...

The old forecast URL for Lincoln is 'http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?CityName=Lincoln&state=NE&site=OAX&textField1=40.8164&textField2=-96.6882&e=0&TextType=2'.

All of these yield some kind of forecast, but the NWS's changes broke advforecast2.php somehow.

Just checked Ken's site, and he's got the same problem. Pretty sure he will be working on it soon if he isn't already doing so.

Mine appears to be working just fine.... odd

But, I'm not using Ken's templates.

Yup, Ken's advforecast2.php script doesn't like the NWS's changes. The NWS forecast is still coming through to my Site #2 - Leuven web page http://indiantrailweather.com/weather2/

Good news! Ken's site is now showing the NWS forecast, but with a 'forecast-new.php'!

In addition to the Leuven template still functioning, Curly's 'Quick Forecast' also still works.

They seem to have disallowed HTTP1.0 access (so Akamai sends the 'Forbidden' response).

I've updated the advforecast2.php script to V3.14 31-Mar-2015 to use HTTP1.1 access, and it works again.

Standalone users: download from the script page.
V3 template users: use the update tool page for Base-USA, Plugin-*, 31-Mar-2015 query.

I put the following in my standalone version of the Page and I still get the forecast for Ken's site.

//
$NOAAZone = 'VAZ026'; // change this line to your NOAA warning zone.
// set $fileName to the URL for the point-printable forecast for your area
 $fileName = "http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=38.3571&lon=-78.9409&unit=0&lg=english&FcstType=text&TextType=2";

Any ideas???

Here is my page i am trying to fix.

You need to copy that line from a backup copy of the old advforecast2.php to the new one. Just uploading the script from Ken's site gives you his forecast.

Thanks, it was my browser pulling the page from the cache before I loaded the settings up to my site. It's working now.

Thanks Ken =D>

Today many of the local forecast websites changed over to the new look. They had been advertising the change for some time. May of been what happened. North Platte: http://www.weather.gov/lbf/

Looks like mine will be off until at least next week. I cannot make any updates to anything on my server thanks to a computer glitch at school. I cannot see anything on my server at school. Which is amazing considering all files can still be uploaded. So I cannot make my fixes but thank you ken. At least I know there is not a problem on the script.

No way, dude!!!! This is KRAZY!!!!! (Note the capital K!!!)

I was telling someone the other day that Cumulus and the templates are so solid that I've forgotten a lot of what I learned in putting the station online to start with!!! I looked then and the last time the system was down was 62 days ago....and that was from an extended power outage where my back-up power when down, too!!!!

I went to look at the forecast (how I found out it was down) and panicked...thinking "Dude, you don't have a clue how to get this going again!!!!" Well, I logged onto wxforum.net and naturally, what's at the top of the "new messages"?....you got it, this thread!!! So's I mosey over to Ken's website, fumble around on trying to figure out what I (the brain-dead one) am supposed to do. I download the new advforecast2.php file, change my warning zone, upload it to the server and SHAZAMMMM!!!!!!!!...I GOT FORECASTS!!!!! \:D/ That was slicker'n a bowl of boiled okra with a slab of fatback in it!!!!! :lol:

Thanks Ken, you *are* incredible at keeping things going smoothly...regardless of the curveballs that the NWS throws ya....you always hit a homerun!!!!!

I didn't change the warning zones. I think the settings php overrides the updated advforecast2.php.
